Artist Profile

Orest Shypowskyj

Orest grew up in a small community in Northern Ontario called Pickel Crow.  His parents immigrated from the Ukraine shortly before his birth.  Orest painted throughout his childhood and into his teens when he started commissioning large paintings and donating others he had created. 

After attending college for graphic design he joined the City of Port Colborne's Parks Department as a Design Coordinator and continued his passion for painting through designing parks and streetscapes.  Orest has since created numerous streetscapes, Christmas cards, portraits, and more for various entities including municipal governments, churches, and the public. 

He has a passion for creating amazing pieces of artwork and even to this day is still working towards his next project.
